MANILA — Cash remittances from Overseas Filipinos (OFs) grew by 3.7 percent in September 2025, reaching US$3.12 billion from US$3.01 billion in the same month last year, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) reported.

On a cumulative basis, cash remittances rose by 3.2 percent, from US$25.23 billion in January–September 2024 to US$26.03 billion in the same period this year. The United States remained the top source of remittances, followed by Singapore and Saudi Arabia.

Personal remittances, which include cash sent through banks and informal channels as well as remittances in kind, also increased by 3.8 percent, from US$3.34 billion in September 2024 to US$3.46 billion in September 2025. Year-to-date personal remittances totaled US$28.97 billion, up 3.2 percent from US$28.07 billion in January–September 2024.

The BSP noted that these remittance flows continue to provide a stable source of foreign exchange and support domestic consumption in the Philippines.
