
MANILA — President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has issued eight proclamations declaring special non-working days to mark founding anniversaries and local celebrations in six municipalities and two cities across the Philippines.
Signed on November 12, 2025, by Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin under the President’s authority, the proclamations cover November and December observances.
- Proclamation No. 1088: November 20 in Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental, for the municipality’s founding anniversary.
- Proclamation No. 1089: November 29 in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur, for the Badak Festival or Adlaw sa Aurora.
- Proclamation No. 1090: December 1 in Cainta, Rizal, for the founding anniversary and Sumbingtik Festival.
- Proclamation No. 1091: December 9 in Burgos, Ilocos Norte, for the municipality’s founding anniversary.
- Proclamation No. 1092: December 18 in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, for the city’s Charter anniversary.
- Proclamation No. 1093: December 23 in Bayawan City, Negros Oriental, for the city’s 25th Charter anniversary.
- Proclamation No. 1094: December 23 in Sto. Niño, South Cotabato, for the municipality’s 45th founding anniversary and 26th Hinublag Festival.
- Proclamation No. 1095: December 23 in Mayantoc, Tarlac, for the municipality’s founding anniversary.
The proclamations aim to recognize local traditions and milestones, allowing communities to commemorate their heritage and celebrate cultural events.
