MANILA — Senator Panfilo Lacson voiced confidence in the reforms being pursued by Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon, saying the Senate fully trusts the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) leadership as it works to curb corruption and increase accountability.

Mr. Chairman, with you there and Secretary Vince at the helm of the DPWH, I think reforms are really underway. We fully trust Secretary Vince Dizon and his team, actually,” Lacson said during plenary debates on the agency’s proposed 2026 budget.

Secretary Dizon thanked senators for their support and committed to pushing more reforms centered on transparency, accountability and responsible management of public infrastructure projects.

Following deliberations, the Senate approved the ₱568-billion proposed DPWH budget for 2026, sponsored by Senator Sherwin Gatchalian.
