MANILA — Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III assured that the House of Representatives remains committed to its mandate and to cooperating with all investigations.

This came after the filing of a new joint case referral by the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) before the Office of the Ombudsman.

“Anuman ang mangyari, nananatiling nakatuon ang Kapulungan ng mga Kinatawan sa tungkulin nitong maglingkod sa bayan,” Dy said, adding that accountability is part of public service and that all members—whether under investigation or not—are ready to cooperate with any process while carrying out their legislative duties.

He said the welfare of the Filipino people remains the chamber’s top priority. “Sa huli, ang kapakanan ng sambayanang Pilipino ang ating pangunahing prayoridad, at gagawin natin ang lahat ng kailangan upang paglingkuran sila nang tama at tapat.”

Dy reaffirmed the House leadership’s stance of full cooperation with the ICI, noting that since assuming the speakership, he has emphasized respect for the commission’s mandate and support for its inquiries.

“Nanininiwala tayo na ang katotohanan ay hindi dapat ikinukubli at ang mga may pananagutan ay dapat managot,” he said.
