MANILA — Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Eli M. Remolona, Jr. on Tuesday presented the “Pista sa Pilipinas: 100-Piso Philippine Festivals Commemorative Silver Coin Series” and the “10-Piso ASEAN Coin” to President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. during a ceremony at Malacañang Palace.

The coin issuances celebrate the Philippines’ rich cultural heritage and aim to raise public awareness of the country’s role as ASEAN Chair in 2026, while promoting ASEAN cooperation.

Joining the presentation of the 10-Piso ASEAN coin were Department of Foreign Affairs Director-General for Operations Chief of Staff Aian A. Caringal, Assistant Secretary Anne L. Hernando, and BSP Deputy Governor Mamerto E. Tangonan.
