MANILA — The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)–Human Trafficking Division (HTRAD) apprehended a male suspect in Hagonoy, Bulacan, for violating Republic Act No. 11930, the “Anti-Online Sexual Exploitation of Children (OSAEC).”

The case began when a minor female, accompanied by her mother, reported that a relative had been threatening her to produce and send Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Materials (CSAEM). Following the complaint, NBI-HTRAD agents launched an investigation that identified the suspect. A Warrant to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data (WSSECD) was issued for his premises.

On November 25, 2025, NBI-HTRAD, with support from the NBI-Digital Forensic Laboratory, the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking, Hagonoy City MSWDO, and an NGO, conducted an entrapment operation. The agents seized three mobile phones, which were immediately examined on-site. Forensic analysis revealed the suspect’s Facebook account, incriminating chat messages, twelve pieces of Child Sexual Exploitation Materials, evidence of sextortion, and signs of group activities related to pedophilia.

OIC Director Atty. Angelito DLP Magno emphasized the bureau’s commitment to protecting minors and preventing their exploitation.

“End the exploitation of minors immediately, or be prepared to face the full consequences of the law,” Magno said.

The NBI continues to urge the public to report any form of child exploitation to help safeguard vulnerable individuals.
