MANILA – The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Wednesday announced the suspension of voter’s certification issuance at its main office in Intramuros, Manila.

The poll body said the suspension at its National Central File Division (NCFD) is indefinite due to maintenance of the Data Center AFIS Server at the Information Technology Department.

“The issuance of voter certification is temporarily suspended effective 3 December 2025 (Wednesday) until further notice,” Comelec said in a public notice.

The commission advised those needing a voter’s certification to file their requests at local Comelec offices instead.

“The public is advised to secure their voter certification in the Office of the Election Officer (OEO) in the city or municipality, where they are registered as a voter,” it said.

A voter’s certification contains personal details of the registered voter and can serve as a temporary voter’s ID, issued upon the voter’s request. (PNA)
