MANILA — Miss Grand International (MGI) has announced the launch of its first-ever Miss Grand International All Stars, a new global pageant open to women and transwomen aged 20 to 40, regardless of marital status.
The Thailand-based organization made the announcement on Sunday, December 7, through its official social media platforms. MGI said the competition is open to contestants who have previously “stood on an international stage but have yet to win a crown.”
The All Stars pageant will kick off on January 25, 2026, with the coronation night set for February 13, 2026. The inaugural winner will take home a cash prize ranging from $100,000 to $1,000,000, or approximately P5.9 million to P58.9 million, in addition to the All Stars title.
CJ Opiaza, the Philippines’ first Miss Grand International titleholder crowned in 2024, welcomed the new format, describing it as “making waves in pageantry.”
Miss Grand International first teased the groundbreaking new edition on December 4, drawing global attention. In a teaser captioned, “When dreams rise beyond limits, a new chapter begins,” the organization invited “every queen who dares to return to the spotlight, no matter which stage in the world you once called home.”
The announcement quickly stirred excitement among pageant fans worldwide, particularly in the Philippines. Supporters have begun speculating about potential contestants, including former MGI Philippines representatives Samantha Bernardo, Roberta Angela Tamondong, and Nikki de Moura.
Fans have also floated names from Miss Universe history such as Michelle Marquez Dee, Celeste Cortesi, and MU 2025 3rd runner-up Ahtisa Manalo. Some jokingly suggested former Miss Universe winners Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray.
The Philippines currently holds the MGI crown after Emma Mary Tiglao secured a back-to-back win following Opiaza’s 2024 victory.
While the organization has yet to clarify whether the All Stars winner will succeed the reigning Miss Grand International titleholder, the announcement has already set off anticipation for what may be one of the most talked-about pageant events in recent years.
