MANILA — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has processed more than 877,000 applications for voter registration in preparation for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) scheduled for November 2026.

As of December 7, the poll body reported a total of 877,422 applications nationwide, with 682,268 for the barangay polls and 195,154 for youth voters aged 15 to 17.

Comelec also noted that 240,743 applications came from new registrants aged 18 and above, while 195,154 applications were for Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) voters.

The voters’ registration period resumed on October 20, 2025, and will continue until May 18, 2026. The poll body earlier projected around 1.4 million new voters to register during the entire period.
