
MANILA — Davao City First District Rep. Paolo Duterte has requested clearance from the House of Representatives to travel to 17 countries from December 15, 2025, to February 20, 2026.
In a letter dated December 1, 2025, Duterte informed House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III that he plans to visit Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia, the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, and Singapore.
Duterte assured that all expenses for the trip will come from his personal funds. He also requested permission to attend House plenary sessions and meetings virtually while abroad.
House Secretary General Cheloy Garafil confirmed the circulation of Duterte’s letter seeking travel clearance for his international trip.
