MANILA — Ramon Tulfo dismissed circulating rumors linking his brother, Senator Raffy Tulfo, to an alleged indecent proposal to Vivamax star Chelsea Ylore.
In a Facebook post, Ramon called the reports “hilarious,” noting that speculations about Raffy offering P250,000 for sexual favors were unlikely. He emphasized that Raffy, who is married to ACT-CIS Party-list Rep. Jocelyn Tulfo, is devoted to his wife.
“Hindi ako makapaniwala sa balita dahil takusa (takot sa asawa) ang kapatid ko kay Jocelyn,” Ramon wrote. He added that even if the rumors were true, it would be no cause for concern, and stressed that it would be more shameful if Raffy were involved with men.
Ramon also highlighted Raffy’s generosity, pointing out that he often gives hundreds of thousands of pesos through his program Raffy Tulfo in Action, with funds coming from his own pocket. He noted that before Raffy became a senator and Jocelyn a congresswoman, the couple was already wealthy, with a combined Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN) of ₱1 billion.
“Compare their SALN to other politicians who only declare smaller figures than the actual amount. Don’t you appreciate their honesty?” he added.
Ending on a lighter note, Ramon joked that he himself would be more likely to make an indecent proposal than his brother.
The statement comes after Ylore went viral for claiming she had received offers from a mayor and a senator in exchange for sexual favors, prompting netizens to speculate about the identities of the officials involved.
