MANILA — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) confirmed that it has cancelled the passport of former Ako Bicol Party-list representative Elizaldy Salcedo Co, following a resolution issued by the Sandiganbayan and a directive from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

In a statement issued on December 10, the DFA said the cancellation was carried out the same day.

“According to the resolution of the Sandiganbayan today, the 10th of December 2025, and the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the Department of Foreign Affairs has cancelled the passport of former Ako Bikol Partylist Representative Elizaldy Salcedo Co. This cancellation process was done by the Department today, the 10th of December 2025, at 5:00 PM this afternoon,” the DFA said.

The agency also released a Filipino version of the statement: “Alinsunod sa resolution na ibinaba ng Sandiganbayan ngayong ika-10 ng Disyembre 2025, at sa kautusan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang Kagawaran ng Ugnayang Panglabas ay kinansela na ang pasaporte ng dating Ako Bikol Partylist Representative Elizaldy Salcedo Co. Itong proseso ng pagkansela ay isinagawa ng Kagawaran ngayong ika-10 ng Disyembre 2025 alas-singko ng hapon.”
