QUEZON CITY — Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) Chairperson and CEO Lala Sotto administered the oath of office to two newly-appointed board members on Wednesday, December 10, at the MTRCB offices’ Nida Blanca Conference Room.

Ma. Cecilia Diaz Villarosa and Maria Rosario Garcia-Fabregas were appointed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., replacing Cherry Anne Espion and Jan Marini Cadungog, respectively. Their appointment papers, signed on December 2, required them to assume their posts immediately upon submission of their oaths to the Office of the President and the Civil Service Commission.

Villarosa and Fabregas are veteran journalists with decades of combined experience in media and communications.

Sotto expressed confidence in their professionalism, highlighting the value they bring to MTRCB’s mandate, and extended gratitude to Espion and Cadungog for their dedicated service.
