MANILA — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), through the Philippine Consulate General in Sydney, is monitoring the mass shooting incident in Bondi, Sydney on 14 December 2025.

Australian authorities have confirmed multiple casualties, with emergency operations still ongoing.

The Consulate is coordinating with Australian authorities to verify whether any Filipino nationals were affected. As of this time, the DFA said there are no confirmed Filipino casualties.

The department extended its sympathies to the victims and their families and urged Filipinos in Sydney to remain vigilant, avoid affected areas, and follow the advisories of local authorities.
