MANILA — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said it will immediately turn over all data storage devices, documents, records, and files under the office of the late former Undersecretary Maria Catalina Cabral in full compliance with a Subpoena Duces Tecum issued by the Office of the Ombudsman.

The department said it has the authority to submit the items to the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) for forensic examination.

“The Department remains committed to transparency and will continue to cooperate fully with investigating bodies to provide any further assistance required in the ongoing inquiry,” the statement read.

The turnover follows reports that Cabral had shared documents on alleged budget insertions in the DPWH prior to her death, which are now being examined as part of ongoing investigations.
