MANILA – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will begin the rehabilitation of EDSA at 11 p.m. on December 24, following President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to make the highway safer for motorists, commuters, and pedestrians.

The 24-hour rehabilitation works will cover intermittent road sections along EDSA from December 24 to 27, 2025.

Concrete Reblocking Works:

  • Southbound:
    • December 24–27: P. Celle Street to Roxas Boulevard (inner lane only)
    • December 26–27: Tramo Flyover to P. Celle Street (inner lane only)
  • Northbound:
    • December 24–27: Roxas Boulevard to Park Avenue (inner lane only)
    • December 27: Park Avenue to Taft Avenue (inner lane)

Asphalt Overlay:

  • Southbound:
    • December 25: EDSA Orense to Urdaneta Village
    • December 26: EDSA Orense to Magallanes Interchange
    • December 27: Tramo to Loring Street (inner lane to outer lane)

The DPWH said it will release an updated schedule of repair works from December 28, 2025, to January 5, 2026.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes during the rehabilitation period.
