MANILA — Speaker of the House of Representatives Faustino “Bojie” Dy III on Christmas Eve urged Filipinos to embrace unity, compassion, and hope, saying the season is a time for reflection and renewed commitment to nation-building.

In his Christmas message released on December 24, Dy said Filipinos should remember the true spirit of Christmas—love for one another, concern for others, and the belief that life becomes more meaningful when people work together.

Despite the challenges faced by the country, the Speaker said Filipinos have chosen to uphold integrity, respect for the rule of law, and calm, principled action, noting that collective efforts are gradually restoring public trust and laying the groundwork for a brighter future.

Dy said these values reflect the vision of a “Bagong Pilipinas,” which he described as a government with clear direction and accountability to the people.

He expressed hope that the spirit of Christmas would strengthen national unity and inspire greater dedication to public service.

On behalf of the House of Representatives and his family, Dy wished Filipinos a joyful, peaceful, and hope-filled Christmas.
