MANILA — More than 74,000 applicants were hired on the spot at over 2,000 job fairs conducted nationwide in 2025, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) reported.
DOLE said 74,564 applicants were immediately employed through its job fairs, based on accomplishment data as of November 2025. A total of 529,158 jobseekers participated in 2,176 job fairs held across the country.
The agency also reported that 151,316 beneficiaries of the Special Program for Employment of Students received wages amounting to over PHP686 million. Meanwhile, 76,491 beneficiaries of the Government Internship Program were granted stipends totaling more than PHP2.66 billion, and 4,873 individuals benefited from the JobStart Philippines program, which provided assistance worth over PHP101 million.
In addition, DOLE said more than 2.2 million jobseekers were referred to various Public Employment Service Offices (PESOs) nationwide for job placement.
The agency said these figures reflect its strengthened partnerships with public and private stakeholders, both locally and abroad. PESOs serve as employment service facilities in key cities and municipalities, operated by local government units and linked with DOLE.
