MANILA — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) reported on Monday that nearly 1.2 million applications for voter registration have been processed ahead of the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections scheduled for November 2.

Comelec data showed that a total of 1,187,115 applications have been received nationwide, with 629,863 coming from female applicants and 557,252 from male applicants.

Of the total, 920,122 are applying as regular voters, including 324,536 new registrants aged 18 and above.

A total of 340,999 individuals applied for transfers from other cities or municipalities, 73,582 applied for transfers within the same city or municipality, and 48,634 applied for reactivation of their registration.

Applications from new registrants aged 15 to 17, who are eligible to vote in the SK polls, reached 266,993.

The registration period resumed on October 20, 2025, and will continue until May 18.
