MANILA — Actress Toni Gonzaga dismissed rumors about marital issues with her husband, director Paul Soriano, during a TikTok live session.

Responding to a social media user who asked if they were the “power couple” facing problems, Gonzaga said, “Do not waste time sa mga nonsense, okay. It’s a waste.”

She added, “Ang mga waste dapat i-flush sa CR, okay?… just like ‘yung mga ibang katanungan ng mga tao dito na walang silbi ang pupuntahan ng mga ganyang questions.”

The speculation arose after Insider PH published a blind item hinting at a “power couple” with marital issues. Other celebrity couples, including Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes, as well as Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado, have already denied being the couple mentioned.

It will be recalled that in 2022, Paul Soriano described his wife as “probably the most powerful celebrity today.”

“You know, honestly, outside looking in, if I can step back and just, you know, from a perspective of not being her husband, or her producer or her director… And just outside looking in, I really believe Toni is probably the most powerful celebrity today,” Paul said.

He added, “Only because the criticisms and the hate that she’s getting are from equally powerful people, too. You don’t rattle relevant people if you’re not doing something better than them, ‘di ba? And you know, of course, you know, I’m her husband, and I’m extremely proud of her. She’s also one of the strongest people I know, right.”
