MANILA — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Port of Clark recorded more than ₱183.54 million worth of illegal drugs seized in 2025, highlighting intensified border protection and anti-smuggling efforts.
The largest portion of the seizures involved Methamphetamine Hydrochloride, or “shabu,” valued at over ₱117.76 million. Other illegal drugs, including marijuana, ecstasy, cocaine, ketamine, and related substances, accounted for more than ₱65.77 million.
District Collector Jairus S. Reyes said the substantial confiscations were achieved through improved profiling systems, vigilant examination procedures, and close coordination with enforcement partners, demonstrating the port’s commitment to keeping airport borders free from illegal drugs.
“These accomplishments reflect our strengthened efforts to safeguard public health and national security,” Reyes said.
The Port’s operations align with directives from Customs Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno and support President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs, reaffirming the Bureau of Customs’ dedication to protecting the country’s borders.
