MANILA – Actress Rita Daniela expressed concern for her former love team partner Ken Chan, who is reportedly involved in a syndicated estafa case.

In an interview with Pep, Rita said she no longer communicates with Ken and described their current relationship as distant.

“No, I don’t. We’re not friends anymore,” she said.

Despite their estrangement, Rita conveyed sympathy for Ken and his family, hoping they can overcome the situation.

“Definitely, of course. He was my best friend. He was a very special person to me,” she said.

She added that her only way to support him now is through prayers.

“So, I think the best thing that I can do for him right now is just to pray for him. That’s all. That’s it. That’s all. Pray lang talaga. ‘Yun ‘yung pinakatulong na puwede na natin magagawa,” Rita said.

Rita also shared her surprise over the allegations, saying she did not expect such developments.

“When I knew it… Well, because I thought I knew him, you know? But I don’t know kasi feeling ko, kahit malaman ko rin naman nang maaga, makakatulong ba ako? Parang hindi na naman din ata,” she added.
