MANILA – Beauty queen Samantha Panlilio has yet to publicly respond to allegations that she, along with actresses Rhian Ramos and Michelle Dee, mauled and illegally detained their driver, known as Totoy, at their condominium unit.
The driver claimed that he was assaulted by the celebrities and their bodyguards over accusations that he stole Dee’s film roll containing sensitive photographs. While Ramos and Dee have released statements through their lawyer denying the allegations, Panlilio has not made any public comment.
Netizens also noted that Panlilio, Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2021, has disabled comments on her Instagram account, which was previously filled with speculation regarding the incident. Her most recent post, shared on January 17, featured glimpses of her 30th birthday celebration attended by Dee and Ramos.
Dee and Ramos’ lawyer, Maggie Abraham-Garduque, appealed to the public to refrain from making prejudgments while the National Bureau of Investigation conducts its probe.
“Sana let’s allow the [National Bureau of Investigation] to do the investigation. Let us not make prejudgments on this,” Abraham-Garduque said. “We’ll do our very best to be able to show or prove that hindi totoo itong mga allegations na ito.”
