MANILA – President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has proclaimed special non-working holidays in various parts of the country throughout February to allow residents to fully participate in the celebration of local festivals and anniversaries.

Through Proclamation No. 1145, the President declared February 26, 2026 a special non-working holiday in Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay to mark its Founding Anniversary and the BOG Festival.

Other local special non-working holidays declared for the month include February 28, 2026 in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte to commemorate its Founding Anniversary under Proclamation No. 1146, and February 2, 2026 in Ilocos Norte province for the celebration of its 208th Founding Anniversary under Proclamation No. 1147.

February 28, 2026 was also declared a special non-working holiday in Tanza, Cavite for the celebration of the 112th Araw ng Tanza under Proclamation No. 1148, while February 26, 2026 was declared a holiday in Zamboanga City in observance of its 89th Charter Anniversary under Proclamation No. 1149.

In Negros Oriental, February 18, 2026 was declared a special non-working holiday in Bayawan City for the celebration of the Tawo-Tawo Festival under Proclamation No. 1150. February 2, 2026 was likewise declared a holiday in Ilocos Sur province to commemorate its Founding Anniversary under Proclamation No. 1151.

February 10, 2026 was proclaimed a special non-working holiday in Talisay, Batangas to mark its Founding Anniversary under Proclamation No. 1152, and in Iriga City, Camarines Sur on February 11, 2026 for the celebration of the Tinagba Festival under Proclamation No. 1153.

The President also declared February 10, 2026 a special non-working holiday in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte for the celebration of the Pamulinawen Festival under Proclamation No. 1154, and February 17, 2026 in Padre Burgos, Quezon province to commemorate Padre Burgos Day under Proclamation No. 1155.

February 19, 2026 was declared a special non-working holiday in Bago City, Negros Occidental for its 60th Charter Anniversary under Proclamation No. 1156, while February 4, 2026 was declared a holiday in San Fernando City, Pampanga in observance of its 25th Cityhood Anniversary under Proclamation No. 1157.

Parañaque City was declared a special non-working holiday on February 13, 2026 to mark its 28th Cityhood Anniversary under Proclamation No. 1158, while February 24, 2026 was declared a holiday in Zamboanga Sibugay province for the celebration of its 25th Founding Anniversary under Proclamation No. 1159.

The President also proclaimed February 27, 2026 a special non-working holiday in General Santos City to mark the celebration of the Kalilangan Festival under Proclamation No. 1160.

The proclamations were signed by Acting Executive Secretary Ralph G. Recto by authority of the President.
