
MANILA — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Tuesday approved 21 priority measures during the third full meeting of the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC), the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev) said.
The President wants the measures, which cover reforms in governance, social services, and national development, to be prioritized and passed by Congress by June this year.
The 21 bills include the Anti-Political Dynasty Law, Party-list System Reform Act, Citizen Access and Disclosure of Expenditures for National Accountability (CADENA) Act, amendments to the Coconut Farmers and Industry Trust Fund Act, Travel Tax Abolition, Anti-Fake News and Disinformation Act, and resetting the first regular elections in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), among others.

DEPDev Secretary Arsenio Balisacan said the LEDAC continues to support policies that enhance the delivery of basic social services, particularly in education, health, and social protection.
“Looking ahead, we see 2026 as our rally point. To regain our stride, we must act decisively to restore public trust through better governance and stronger public service delivery—improvements that Filipinos can see and feel in their daily lives,” Balisacan said.
The agency also released a list of 31 other bills under the common legislative agenda, covering issues from land use, fisheries, and digital payments to cybersecurity, universal health care, and disaster risk financing. These measures are expected to complement the 21 priority bills in strengthening governance, economic development, and public service delivery.
