MANILA — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has confiscated P76.8 million worth of vehicles owned by contractor couple Pacifico and Cezarah Discaya, and successfully sold a 2023 Rolls-Royce Cullinan for nearly P30 million, a Palace official said.
Castro said the BOC successfully auctioned the Rolls-Royce last Wednesday. The winning bidder stated he purchased the vehicle to preserve its “historical value,” including the infamous umbrella.
The BOC will announce another auction schedule for the remaining confiscated Discaya-owned luxury vehicles.
Castro noted that the confiscation and auction were part of President Marcos Jr.’s ongoing effort to recover money lost to corruption in flood-control projects.
