MANILA — The Philippine National Police (PNP) said that over 11,000 personnel will be deployed to secure the upcoming Trillion Peso March and related prayer and indignation rallies scheduled on February 22 and 25.

PNP Chief Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. emphasized that coordination and preparedness are crucial to ensure the safety of participants and the general public, with an expected turnout of around 50,000 people.

It is our duty to ensure that every Filipino has the freedom to express themselves and to assemble peacefully — safely and without fear. Safety is our top priority, so we are asking everyone to cooperate with the police,” Nartatez said.

The PNP will hold a coordination conference this week with event organizers to finalize operational plans and process permits. Nartatez urged participants to follow safety protocols, saying the goal is a safe and orderly event that honors the legacy of People Power.

The deployment will be led by district police forces: Quezon City Police District (2,642), Manila Police District (2,438), Southern Police District (2,322), Northern Police District (1,056), and Eastern Police District (1,000). These will be reinforced by units from the Regional Headquarters, Regional Intelligence Division, Regional Mobile Force Battalion, and Special Action Force.

Support units—including the Regional Communications and Electronics Unit, Regional Highway Patrol Unit, Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine Unit, and Regional Medical and Dental Unit—will also be mobilized. The total initial deployment will reach 11,498 personnel, tasked with crowd management, traffic control, emergency response, and public safety monitoring.
