MANILA — Applications for voter registration in connection with the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) in November have exceeded 2 million, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) reported.

As of February 15, a total of 2,135,181 applications have been received nationwide. Female applicants numbered 1,121,112, while male applicants reached 1,014,069.

Of the total, 1,554,253 applications were recorded as received, including 556,283 from new registrants aged 18 and above. Applications from youth voters aged 15 to 17 for the SK elections totaled 580,928.

The voter registration period resumed on October 20, 2025, and will continue until May 18, 2026.

The Barangay and youth elections are scheduled for November 2, 2026.
