MANILA — Filipinos interested in pursuing higher education abroad are encouraged to apply for the Romanian government’s scholarship program for foreign citizens.

The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs opened applications for its annual scholarships covering bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral studies in all fields except medicine, dental medicine, and pharmacy. A preparatory year for Romanian language study will precede university studies.

Applications can be submitted online through the Study in Romania platform (https://scholarships.studyinromania.gov.ro/scholarship-auth) until March 31, 2026.

The Romanian Embassy in Manila said the scholarship covers the preparatory year, tuition fees, and accommodation in student dormitories.

Selected candidates will be notified via e-mail, with results expected around July 15, 2026.
