MANCHESTER, United Kingdom — British singer-songwriter Olivia Dean dominated the Brit Awards on Saturday, taking home four prizes at the UK’s premier annual music event, held for the first time in Manchester.

The 26-year-old, who rose to fame with her hit “Man I Need” and acclaimed album The Art of Loving, won Album of the Year, best artist, best pop act, and — alongside Sam Fender — song of the year for their single “Rein Me In.”

“Thank you so much for believing in me when I didn’t really believe in myself sometimes,” Dean said as she accepted the best album award. “This album is just about love and loving each other in a world that feels loveless right now.”

Rising star Lola Young took home best breakthrough artist, while Wolf Alice won group of the year.

Spanish singer Rosalia, who won best international artist, performed alongside Icelandic singer-songwriter Bjork. K-pop idol Rose and Bruno Mars won international song of the year for “APT,” while Brooklyn band Geese took best international group.

Band drummer Max Bassin of Geese was bleeped during the broadcast after shouting political statements onstage.

The ceremony also featured a special appearance by Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, who paid tribute to Noel Gallagher, attending to collect songwriter of the year.

Harry Styles opened the night performing his new single “Aperture,” joined by a gospel choir, ahead of his album release next week. Other performances included Raye, the fictional trio Huntrix from KPop Demon Hunters, and tributes to the late Ozzy Osbourne by his family and Robbie Williams.

Producer and DJ Mark Ronson received the Outstanding Contribution to Music award and performed a mini-set honoring late collaborator Amy Winehouse alongside Ghostface Killah and Dua Lipa.
