
MANILA — The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) apprehended 36 wanted individuals, including three Top Most Wanted Persons (TMWPs), during a one-day “Warrant Day” operation across the district.
The arrests included 12 Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) and 21 Other Wanted Persons (OWPs) through coordinated efforts of local police stations and specialized units.
In a notable operation, the District Special Operations Unit (DSOU), together with Bongabon Municipal Police Station and the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office under Police Regional Office 3, arrested two high-ranking wanted individuals in Barangay Santor, Bongabon, Nueva Ecija around 3:20 a.m.
Arrested were alias “Rolly,” 34, listed as No. 9 Regional Level MWP and No. 8 District Level MWP, and alias “Romeo,” 64, tagged as No. 5 District Level MWP. Both are residents of Barangay Sangandaan, Talipapa, Quezon City.
Alias Rolly faces multiple charges including acts of lasciviousness, two counts of sexual assault, four counts of lascivious conduct, and five additional counts of acts of lasciviousness, under warrants issued by Branch 94 of the Regional Trial Court.
Alias Romeo has pending warrants for qualified rape, five counts of lascivious conduct, three counts of acts of lasciviousness, and three counts of sexual assault, issued by Branch 86 of the RTC in Quezon City.
In a separate operation, Kamuning Police Station served a warrant on alias “Alvin,” 24, a resident of Barangay Bambang, Pasig City, at Manila City Jail around 8:10 a.m. Alvin faces charges for violating Republic Act 7832, the Anti-Electricity and Electric Transmission Lines/Materials Pilferage Act of 1994, with the warrant issued by Branch 84 of the Quezon City RTC.
Among police stations, Fairview Police Station recorded three MWP arrests; La Loma and Payatas Bagong Silangan stations recorded two each; while Masambong, Novaliches, Kamuning, Holy Spirit, and Project 6 stations each recorded one arrest.
For OWPs, CIDU, District Anti-Carnapping Unit, and Anonas Police Station made three arrests each. PS 1, Talipapa, and Holy Spirit recorded two each; while DID, PS 2, Batasan, Cubao, Galas, and Eastwood stations each made one arrest.
The QCPD said courts that issued the warrants will be formally notified of the arrests.
“Ang tagumpay na ito ay bunga ng sama-samang aksyon ng iba’t ibang yunit ng QCPD, alinsunod sa pinaigting na kampanya ng PNP sa ilalim ng Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO) at mga programa ng NCRPO. Patuloy naming palalakasin ang ugnayan at koordinasyon upang mapabilis ang paghuli sa mga wanted persons,” said PBGEN Randy Glenn Silvio.
