MANILA – The Mapúa Education Group announced a new partnership granting all its enrollees access to courses and the opportunity to enlist as international students at Arizona State University (ASU).
The collaboration will cover students across the Mapúa system, including undergraduate and graduate programs at Mapúa University, Mapúa Malayan College Laguna, Mapúa Malayan College Mindanao, and Mapúa Malayan Digital College.
Under the agreement, students will gain access to instructional content from ASU’s repository of academic programs. They will also be given the opportunity to enroll as international students at ASU and through its ASU-Cintana Alliance.
“This partnership reflects our commitment to elevating Philippine education through globally benchmarked standards,” said Mapúa University President Dodjie Maestrecampo in a regulatory filing.
“By integrating global expertise, digital innovation, and future-focused curricula across our campuses, we are preparing Filipino learners to compete and lead on the world stage,” he added.
Mapúa University is the flagship institution of iPeople Inc., the joint venture education group between the House of Investments of the Yuchengco Group and the Ayala Group.
For its part, ASU has been ranked first in the United States for innovation and global impact in research, outreach, and stewardship.
ASU President Michael Crow welcomed the expanded collaboration, saying the university looks forward to supporting Mapúa’s aspirations and strengthening educational ties between the Philippines and the United States.
