LOS ANGELES — Pop superstar Rihanna’s residence in Beverly Hills was struck by gunfire on Sunday, authorities said, though the singer was reportedly inside at the time.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the shooting occurred after 1 p.m. (2000 GMT) when a woman fired roughly 10 rounds from a vehicle across the street from the mansion. At least one bullet penetrated a wall of the home, where Rihanna lives with partner A$AP Rocky and their children, KTLA news report reported.
The suspect, a woman in her 30s, fled the scene but was arrested shortly afterward without incident, with police recovering a weapon during the arrest.
Authorities are still investigating the motive behind the attack. Rihanna has not yet made a public statement regarding the incident.
