MANILA — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) handed over PHP102.4 million to the government from the sale of nine luxury vehicles linked to the Discaya family.

During a ceremony at the BOC grounds in Port Area, Manila, Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno turned over the proceeds to Bureau of the Treasury representative Jerekko Cadorna, officer-in-charge of the Complaints and Investigation Division.

“The successful auction and turnover of these proceeds demonstrate the Bureau of Customs’ resolve to enforce the law while ensuring that recovered assets are returned to the Filipino people and utilized to support national development,” Nepomuceno said.

The vehicles were seized from spouses Pacifico “Curlee” and Cezarah Rowena “Sarah” Discaya for alleged violations of the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA). The couple has also been linked to allegedly anomalous flood control projects.

Among the seized cars were a 2023 Rolls-Royce Cullinan, 2022 and 2024 Lincoln Navigators, 2022 Bentley Bentayga, several Mercedes-Benz models, a Toyota Tundra and Sequoia, and other high-end vehicles.

Proceeds from past auctions include PHP38.21 million from the Nov. 20, 2025 auction, PHP9.48 million from the Dec. 5, 2025 auction, PHP29.03 million from the Feb. 11, 2026 auction, and PHP25.75 million from the Feb. 25, 2026 auction.

Four seized vehicles remain unsold and may be offered in future auctions: a 2022 GMC Yukon Denali, 2021 Cadillac Escalade, 2022 Maserati Levante Modena, and 2022 GMC Yukon XL Denali.

The BOC also plans to auction 25 more luxury vehicles, mostly seized from Philippine offshore gaming operators
