MANILA — Singer Gigi De Lana is reported to be in stable condition after fainting following her performance in Samal Island City, Davao del Norte, her management said.
In a Facebook post, Tritone Entertainment said De Lana experienced extreme fatigue and briefly passed out after her final song.
“To everyone who has been sending messages and asking about Gigi, thank you so much for your love and concern,” the post read.
“She was given immediate attention and care, and we’re grateful to share that she is now safe, stable, and currently resting,” it added.
Tritone Entertainment emphasized De Lana’s professionalism, noting that she chose to honor her performance despite feeling unwell.
“Despite not feeling well, Gigi still chose to honor her commitment and perform for everyone who came to see her. This reflects the deep respect and professionalism she has for her audience,” the statement said.
The management also thanked fans for their messages and prayers, stressing that ensuring her rest and recovery is their top priority.
De Lana had a similar incident in 2023 when she fainted on stage in Ilocos Norte, causing her to cancel a scheduled Nueva Ecija gig. She continued performing after receiving medical clearance, despite having been involved in a vehicular accident en route.
The singer is known for her hit cover of Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita, as well as songs like “Bibitawan,” “Sa Dulo,” and “Naghihilom” with Sponge Cola.
