SEOUL — Second-hand BTS concert light sticks, known as Army Bombs, are fetching up to six times their original price ahead of the K-pop megagroup’s highly anticipated comeback concert this weekend, online resellers showed.
The global sensation reunites on Saturday for their first show in nearly four years, taking over central Seoul in a performance that will be broadcast worldwide.
Fans of K-pop groups often buy light sticks as symbols of devotion, and BTS’ Army Bomb has become a prized collector’s item. The latest official version originally costs around 50,000 won (P2,000) but has sold out.
Resale listings on Bunjang, a popular second-hand goods platform, show prices ranging from 100,000 to 330,000 won (P4,000 to P13,300) per unit.
The concert will be held near the historic Gyeongbokgung royal palace, an area that has also served as a site for political protests. Notably, after former president Yoon Suk Yeol’s failed 2024 martial law declaration, K-pop fans wielding glowsticks took part in demonstrations, creating a globally recognized image.
