MANILA – The Office of the Ombudsman has begun a nationwide physical inventory of all pending cases as part of efforts to improve case monitoring and resolution.

In a public advisory dated March 23, Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla urged complainants and respondents, as well as their authorized representatives, to submit case details on or before June 19, 2026.

“The Office of the Ombudsman is currently conducting a comprehensive physical inventory of all pending cases across its offices nationwide as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen records management, ensure accuracy of case documentation, and further enhance efficiency in case monitoring and disposition,” the advisory read.

“Concerned parties may send an email containing the following information to 2026caseinventory@ombudsman.gov.ph,” it added.

The required information includes the docket number, case title if available, names of complainants and respondents, the office or unit where the case was filed, and any latest correspondence or supporting documents.

“Relevant documents, pleadings, or official communications to facilitate verification and updating of records” may also be submitted, according to the advisory.

“All submissions will be treated solely for purposes of case verification and records updating in connection with the ongoing physical inventory,” it said.

Remulla, who assumed office on October 7, 2025, initiated the inventory about five months into his term.

For inquiries, the public may contact the Physical Inventory Committee Secretariat through its hotline or official email.
