MANILA — OPM band Ben&Ben is set to release a reimagined version of its hit song “Lifetime” on March 31.
In a statement, the group said the updated track, titled “Lifetime (Reimagined),” has been extended from its original runtime of two minutes and 51 seconds in 2020 to four minutes and 38 seconds.
“How do you grieve for a love that didn’t even exist?” the band wrote in the caption.
The song drew inspiration from a netizen’s YouTube comment recounting a story about what was initially believed to be unrequited love for a best friend. The feelings were later revealed to be mutual, but the realization came just before the friend married someone else.
The band’s most recent release prior to this was “Duyan,” which came out in January and featured a romantic music video starring real-life couple Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos.
“Duyan” followed the release of the group’s album “The Traveller Across Dimensions” in November 2024, which includes tracks such as “Could Be Something,” “Comets,” and “Triumph.”
Following the album launch, Ben&Ben embarked on a world tour. The band has also teased an upcoming single and a major concert scheduled within the year.
