MANILA — The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) announced that its debit card services will be temporarily offline due to systems compliance maintenance during select hours over the Holy Week.
In an advisory, the bank said debit cards will be unavailable for withdrawals, as well as in-store and online purchases, while credit cards will be inaccessible for BPI Flexipay during the following periods:
- From 11 p.m. on April 2, 2026 (Maundy Thursday) to 10 a.m. on April 3, 2026 (Good Friday)
- From 11 p.m. on April 4, 2026 (Holy Saturday) to 10 a.m. on April 5, 2026 (Easter Sunday)
“However, BPI Credit Cards will remain available for in-store and online straight purchases, though access may be intermittent. We encourage you to do transactions ahead of time,” the advisory read.
The advisory noted that while most Philippine bank branches will be closed on April 2 and 3, which were declared regular holidays for Holy Week, digital banking services and automated teller machines (ATMs) will continue to operate.
