MANILA — K-pop group BTS surprised fans again with a new music video for “Hooligan,” the second track from their comeback album Arirang.
In the video, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook deliver sleek verses and perform fierce choreography in a dim warehouse before transitioning to a bright red stage.
“Hooligan” is described as a song about asserting BTS’ identity and place as artists. The music video has already amassed 7.4 million views on YouTube in less than 24 hours.
Arirang, led by the single “Swim,” has achieved new career milestones for the group. The album became BTS’ seventh no. 1 on the Billboard 200, while “Swim” earned their seventh no. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100.
The group also released a surprise video for “2.0,” inspired by the classic Korean film Oldboy, and their Netflix documentary BTS: The Return debuted in March.
