MANILA — Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) will resume its Manila-Riyadh flights beginning April 10, 2026, following recent developments in the Middle East.
In a statement, the airline said it is restoring the route with safety measures in place as it continues to monitor conditions in the region.
“The safety and well-being of our passengers and crew remain our foremost priority. As Riyadh operations resume, PAL will temporarily operate via an alternate flight route to ensure the highest safety standards are maintained during this period,” the airline said.
Due to the adjusted routing, some flights will make a brief technical stop in Bangkok for refueling.
“As a result, select Manila-Riyadh flights will include a brief technical stop in Bangkok for refueling. No deplaning is required; passengers will remain on board while the aircraft refuels before continuing to Riyadh,” it added.
PAL had earlier suspended its Manila-Riyadh service on March 30 as a precaution amid security and operational uncertainties in Middle Eastern airspace linked to the US-Israel and Iran conflict.
“We continue to closely monitor the situation and will restore normal routing and full capacity as conditions allow. Updates will be communicated to affected passengers accordingly,” the airline said.
Passengers were advised to check their flight status before heading to the airport.
“We remain committed to connecting our customers to their destinations safely, reliably, and responsibly,” it said.
