MANILA, Philippines – The controversial Mary Grace Piattos, listed as among the supposed recipients of the confidential funds under Vice President Sara Duterte, apparently has no record of any kind in the government database, according to the Philippine Statistics Office.
In a letter sent to the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability chairperson, Rep. Joel Chua, National Statistician and Civil Registrar General Claire Dennis Mapa sent a certification that said Mary Grace Piattos has no certificate of live birth (COLB), certificate of marriage (COM), and certificate of death (COD) in their database.
The certification was issued on November 25 and was received by Chua’s office last Monday afternoon.
Mapa however said if additional vital information such as name of parents of the subject or date and place of the vital event can be provided, the PSA can still look further and ascertain if the civil registry document is available in their database.
Republika News has sought for the comment of the Vice President and her office but to no avail as of writing.
Mary Grace Piattos’ signature reflected in a number of acknowledgement receipts in the confidential funds under the OVP and the Department of Education (DepEd), both held by Duterte.

Among the revelations in the hearings were supposed irregularities in the disbursement and documentation of the fund such as wrong dates, signatures without names or unreadable names to name a few.
The Commission on Audit has reported that 787 acknowledgement receipts (ARs) with unnamed signatories and 302 ARs with unreadable names of signatories as justification of the fund disbursement.
On Monday, 17 individuals filed at the House of Representatives the first impeachment complaint against the Vice President.
