MANILA—Kapuso star Carla Abellana is said to be preparing to walk down the aisle before the year ends, veteran entertainment reporter and talent manager Ogie Diaz revealed.

In a recent episode of his YouTube program “Showbiz Update,” Diaz shared that, according to one of his sources, Abellana is set to marry a non-showbiz partner who currently serves as the chief medical officer of a private hospital in Quezon City.

The same source claimed that the actress and the doctor dated during their high school years and recently rekindled their friendship, which eventually turned into a romance.

“Guwapo raw ito in person, ha. At chinito!” Diaz remarked.

Back in August, Abellana admitted she had started going out on dates again, saying she wanted to open herself up to new possibilities.

“I decided to try it,” she said. “Yes, there’s a second date. We’ll see if there’s gonna be more dates.”

Abellana was previously married to actor Tom Rodriguez, though their marriage lasted only a few months before ending in divorce. Rodriguez has since become a father to a baby boy named Korben with his non-showbiz partner.

Diaz noted that it remains up to Abellana to confirm, clarify, or share more details about the rumored relationship and wedding.
