MANILA — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) surpassed its March 2026 collection target by 1.4 percent, or PHP1.190 billion, the agency reported.

Preliminary figures showed total revenues of PHP84.426 billion, marking a PHP4.067 billion increase, or 5.1 percent growth, from the PHP80.359 billion collected in March 2025.

Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno lauded collection districts and ports nationwide for their role in achieving the target, highlighting the efforts of frontline personnel who maintain trade flow while safeguarding government revenues.

“I extend my deepest appreciation to our District Collectors, port personnel, and all BOC employees across the country. Your hard work, discipline, and commitment to honest service made this accomplishment possible,” Nepomuceno said, calling it a “shared victory” for Customs officers.

The bureau chief noted that strong revenue performance directly supports public services, infrastructure funding, and social programs for millions of Filipinos.

Aligned with the guidance of Finance Secretary Frederick Go, the BOC continues reforms emphasizing digitalization, transparency, and ease of doing business.

Go has emphasized the importance of efficient revenue collection and institutional integrity in sustaining economic growth and ensuring government resources are maximized for public benefit.
