MANILA – A Church-based poll watchdog has called on Filipinos who have yet to register as voters to do so before the deadline set by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).

In a social media post on Saturday, the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) reminded eligible Filipinos to visit their local Comelec offices as registration nears its end.

“Make your vote count! Register now!” the group said. “Registration ends on May 18, 2026 at 5 p.m.”

“Bring a valid government ID with you. Valid student ID will,” PPCRV added.

Under Comelec rules, Filipinos aged 18 and above may register as regular voters, while those aged 15 to 17 may apply as youth voters for the Sangguniang Kabataan polls.

Latest Comelec data showed that 4,740,551 voter registration applications have been received nationwide from Oct. 20, 2025, when registration opened, until May 9, 2026.

Aside from new registrations, the poll body is also accepting applications for transfer of registration, changes in civil status, correction of entries, and reactivation of voter records during the registration period.
