MANILA – Irish pop group Westlife has added a second concert date in the Philippines for its 25th anniversary world tour after tickets for the initial show sold out.

In a media report, it said that the group originally announced its return to the country on January 20, 2027, for a concert at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. Tickets for the show, which went on sale on May 15, were quickly sold out.

Following the strong demand, concert promoter Wilbros Live announced a second show scheduled for January 21.

Members Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, and Kian Egan confirmed the additional date in a video posted on the promoter’s social media pages.

“Philippines! It’s unbelievable, the show on the 20th of January is sold out so guess what boys? We’re adding another [show] on the 21st,” Egan. “We cannot wait guys, thank you so much for all your love and support.”

Byrne closed the video with a message in Filipino: “Philippines, you rock, mahal namin kayo!”

The trio are expected to perform across the tour, while member Mark Feehily continues to deal with health issues. Former member Brian McFadden left the group in 2004.

Westlife last performed in the Philippines in 2023 at a sold-out concert at the Araneta Coliseum, a visit that coincided with a Backstreet Boys concert at the Mall of Asia Arena on the same day.

The group is known for hits such as “My Love,” “If I Let You Go,” “Swear It Again,” “Fool Again,” “World of Our Own,” and “Queen of My Heart,” as well as covers including “Uptown Girl” and “You Raise Me Up.”
