MANILA — Plunder and malversation charges will be filed before the Sandiganbayan on Thursday against Senator Jinggoy Estrada in connection with the flood control controversy, Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla said.
In a media report, it said that Remulla confirmed the filing of the cases against the senator, saying the complaints are being finalized.
“Plunder, and malversation [will be filed against Senator Estrada]. Pinupulido lang namin,” Remulla said.
The Office of the Ombudsman has already filed three batches of malversation and graft cases related to the flood control issue since Remulla assumed office in October 2025.
