MANILA — Senator Jinggoy Estrada on Friday posted a P90,000 bail before the Sandiganbayan to secure temporary liberty in connection with a graft case linked to the alleged flood control mess.
Estrada personally appeared before the anti-graft court, accompanied by his daughters Janella and Julienne.
The Sandiganbayan allowed his temporary release after the posting of bail.
Aside from the case for which he posted bail, Estrada is also facing separate graft and plunder charges before the Fifth Division of the Sandiganbayan.
Earlier, Estrada filed an urgent motion seeking the withdrawal of the warrant of arrest issued against him, arguing that he has not been properly informed of the basis of the criminal charges filed against him.
The cases form part of ongoing proceedings involving allegations tied to irregularities in flood control projects.
