MANILA — The Metro Rail Transit Line 7 (MRT-7) will operate with 14 stations, including the San Jose del Monte station in Bulacan, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said, clarifying reports that only 13 stations will be completed.

“The San Jose del Monte (SJDM) Station remains part of the MRT-7 project and has not been removed from the approved alignment,” the DOTr said.

The agency said the rail line is on track to begin partial operations of 12 stations—from Sacred Heart to North Avenue—by the second quarter of 2027.

It added that the Tala and San Jose del Monte stations are expected to be completed and opened to the public in 2028.

The MRT-7 will have the following 14 stations:

  • North EDSA
  • Quezon Memorial Circle
  • University Avenue
  • Tandang Sora
  • Don Antonio
  • Batasan
  • Manggahan
  • Doña Carmen
  • Regalado
  • Mindanao Avenue
  • Quirino
  • Sacred Heart
  • Tala
  • San Jose del Monte

Once fully operational, the MRT-7 is expected to reduce travel time between North Avenue in Quezon City and San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, while also helping ease congestion along Commonwealth Avenue, the DOTr said.
