
MANILA — Vice President Sara Duterte remains ahead of Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo in a hypothetical two-way presidential race for 2028, according to a new Pulse Asia survey commissioned by Stratbase Group.
In a report, it said that the survey, conducted from May 3 to 7, 2026, showed Duterte receiving 51 percent support, while Robredo got 41 percent. Eight percent of respondents were either undecided or declined to state their preference.
The results were based on a nationwide sample of 1,500 respondents with a margin of error of ±2.5 percentage points.
Senators Bam Aquino and Raffy Tulfo were also mentioned by respondents as preferred presidential candidates, although they were not included in the survey options.
For the vice presidential race, the survey showed Senator Erwin Tulfo leading with 46 percent support, eight percentage points ahead of Senator Robin Padilla, who received 38 percent.
The names of Senators Rodante Marcoleta and Raffy Tulfo also surfaced as possible vice presidential contenders based on respondent mentions.
The Pulse Asia survey did not provide additional breakdowns beyond the topline results.
